THE POSITION OF SLAM POETRY IN MACEDONIA

The paper entitled "The Position of Slam Poetry in Macedonia" summarizes the his­tory of the slam poetry scene in Macedonia from its emergence and evolution into a slam poetry movement in Macedonia. It offers a detailed insight into slam as a dynamic cultural phenomenon, highlighting its dual nature as both a literary genre and a performance art. Additionally, it examines the rules of poetry slam com­pe­ti­ti­ons at both the global and national levels. The paper also focuses on the current stan­ding of slam poetry in Macedonia, concluding that it has yet to receive signi­ficant attention from official literary criticism.
