THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE YOUTH CULTURAL CENTER - YCC IN THE CREATION OF URBAN CULTURE IN SKOPJE

Since its establishment in 1972 until today, the Youth Cultural Center (YCC) has been one of the most important institutions for the promotion of local culture and non-institutional education. The research is dedicated to the analysis of the relat­ion­ship between music and its promotion in certain concert spaces through a selection of the YCC in Skopje. The analysis moves in the area of ​​the significance of urban concert venues through discussions about identity, heritage, and memory.
