FOREWORD

The papers on hip hop published in this issue were presented at Hip Hop Culture (40 Years of Artistic Performance) forum in Skopje on May 8, 2019, organized by the Institute for Macedonian Literature. Also, they were published in Kontekst magazine, issue 20. The papers presented at the forum are not time-limited, that is, are not tied to a specific date or event, thus ma­king their significance even greater. We felt the need to present them to the ge­neral public yet again, this time in a magazine dedicated to hip hop. There­fore, they find their place among the pages of Balkan Hip Hop Studies.
